Linux operating system - looks and runs very much like Windows (but with less hassle) Select the “Zenith” account. The password is 4 (then press enter or return on keyboard). MOST of what you do will be on the Internet. Double click on “Brave” (red lion face). From there it is just like a web browser on any other computer. To find another program, click on the icon in the lower left corner. That brings up a 3 column menu. The center menu is categories, click on one of interest and the right menu shows a list of available programs in that category. A single click on a program will run it. Libre Writer – word processor Libre Calc – spreadsheet If you need a program that isn't listed, go to menu (lower left corner) / Administration / Software Manager from there you can find all sorts of programs. All FREE! For HELP menu (lower left corner) / Preferences / Welcome screen If you see a red or yellow dot on the shield on the set of icons on the lower right corner of the screen, that means that an update is available. Unlike Windows, you can choose to install it when you have time and inclination. To do the update: Click on that icon, ignore the list and just click on “Install Updates”. It will ask for a password… it is 4 and it will run. Occasionally, it will ask you to reboot the computer, but not often.
